Anne Bowser - Education and Training Manager 

Anne Bowser - Education and Training Manager - (Co-founder)

Before working full time for Wings, Anne was Key Stage One teacher and Manager in a local school. She has worked with children and young people in a variety of settings over many years and is passionate about providing opportunities for young people they may otherwise have missed. Anne is also Child Advocate.

Youth Workers

Fraser Marchbank - Youth and Conservation Worker 

James Lewis – Youth and NEET coordinator

James started working with young people as a teacher in London then progressed via Connexions into youth work, predominantly working with NEET young people. He found himself in Devon via the surf to put his efforts into tackling the increasingly dire issues with NEETs in this area. James is married with 2 lively children.


Milly Peart - Youth and Events Worker 

Milly Peart – Youth Worker

Milly is a mum of twin boys and a daughter.. She has 14 years of youth work experience behind her. She works with girls from Bideford College as well as with our Christian group on a Friday afternoon. She enjoys anything to do with celebrity life – especially low production magazines!


Mark Slade - Youth and Sports Worker 

Mark Slade – Youth and Sports Worker

Mark aka John has worked as a section co-ordinator at M&S, as a special needs teaching assistant and now as a youth and sports worker. He feels God has given him the work experience he has had to prepare him for the challenges, and rewards, that this job entails. He is a qualified F.A coach, plays cricket and is married. Mark is also a former Wings volunteer who we can't get rid of..


Kerry Tudor - Youth and Schools Worker 

Kerry Tudor - Youth and Young Parents Worker

Kerry moved to Devon 19 years ago with family. She is a trained Youth Worker (NVQ 3) and working for Wings focusing mainly on our young parents outreach and drop-in. Kerry is kept on her toes by her son.

Pete Cox - Youth and Media Worker  


Charlotte Hole  -  Youth Worker and Trax

Char started with Wings as a young person on a Trax course. She showed such promise and enthusiasm that she quickly became a volunteer and she is now a member of staff, go Char.


 

  

 Rachel Gilbert – Youth and Young Parents

 Rachel joined Wings in September 2014, she brings with her a wealth of  experience from her training as a councill to leading  successful groups with  parents and todlers. Not to mention raising her 3 sons. 

 

Other key staff

Tony Short - Health and Safety Officer 

Tony Short - Health and Safety Officer

A retired Police Officer, Tony along with his wife Chris is our super volunteer. Working as our Health and Safety Officer, Tony can also be found on many occasions mending items, touching up the paintwork or putting up shelves etc for us. Without Tony and Chris, the organisation would definitely grind to a halt!

Andrew Smith - Business Development Manager

Janice Goodney – Administrator

Has had over 20 years in accounting and finance with various companies.  Worked with Barclays Bank in England and Athens, Greece.  Able to bring a structured and diverse experience to the table, and enjoys being useful and supportive to all manner of the business. 

 

 

Dan Bowser – Cricket and CrossFit trainer

Dan is a level 2 Cricket Coach and is currently representing England in their MLD squad. Dan has been running his own Cricket coaching business since 2010 he also plays for North Devon. Dan is a qualified Gym instructor and more recently has aquired his CrossFit training accreditation. He's just as happy in the gym as at the crease.

Paul Bowser CEO - (Co-founder)

With a background in medical research, plc directorship and running businesses, Paul is now our full-time CEO and funding Guru.


Jo Sawle 


Jo Sawle (Chair of Trustees)

Jo worked as a senior auditor for the NHS who is active in the local parish church. She is passionate about young people and offering them a future and a hope.

 

John Riley - Chair

 

Piers Langdon

Piers Langdon spent his childhood in Ethiopia, he still works in the country with an Ethiopian charity called SUNARMA. He has run businesses locally and abroad. He farms with his family in Clovelly and is a leader at Abbotsham Baptist church where he is also a children’s advocate.


Mike Edson 

Jo Thomas

Jo Thomas used to teach Biology at Bideford College and now has more time to play golf!  She enjoys working with Wings to help meet the needs of the young people in the Bideford area.



 

Barry Jones

After leaving NatWest as a Senior Manager in Head Office, Barry took over The Pines at Eastleigh Country House Hotel and Cottages which he ran for 7 years with his wife Jenny. Board experience includes a Housing Association in Dunstable, North Devon Enterprise Agency (Chairman), North Devon Plus, Bideford Chamber of Commerce and Bideford Regeneration. His focus is on less fortunate in society with particular emphasis on younger folk. Barry and Jenny are active members of Grosvenor Church in Barnstaple where Barry is Treasurer and Chairman of Trustees.


  

Vera Reason. 

Vera is the leader of the Mothers'Union in Bideford, and very committed to praying for families and especially young people.
